Finite Higher-Dimensional Unified Field Theory and TeV Physics

چکیده
A unified field theory based on the compactification of a higher Ddimensional Einstein-Yang-Mills-Higgs action is developed. The extra D − 4 dimensions form a compact internal space with scale size R. An anomaly-free unified chiral model of quarks and leptons described by SO(18) breaks down to SO(10) × SO(8) → SO(10) with a non-trivial topological structure and three chiral families in four dimensions. A quantum field theory formalism in D-dimensions leads to a self-consistent, finite quantum gravity, Yang-Mills and Higgs theory, which is unitary and gauge invariant to all orders of perturbation theory. The gauge hierarchy problem is solved due to the exponential damping of the Higgs self-energy loop graph for energies greater than ∼ 1 TeV, and because of the reduction of quantum gravity to a scale of several TeV. The compactification scale is Mc ≥ 1 TeV, leading to Kaluza-Klein excitations and experimental signatures at a scale of several TeV. Various scenarios for evading fast proton decay are discussed.

Hygrothermal Analysis of Laminated Composite Plates by Using Efficient Higher Order Shear Deformation Theory
Hygrothermal analysis of laminated composite plates has been done by using an efficient higher order shear deformation theory. The stress field derived from hygrothermal fields must be consistent with total strain field in this type of analysis. In the present formulation, the plate model has been implemented with a computationally efficient C0 finite element developed by using consistent strai...
متن کاملThree-dimensional calculations of the magnetic fields in a finite superconducting hollow cylinder in an applied axial magnetic field
In this study, a set of self-consistent coupled-integral equations for the local magnetic flux and current distributions in a finite superconducting hollow cylinder under an axial magnetic field has been directly derived by using the Biot-Savart law within the framework of the critical-state model. The equations were first solved numerically in the three-dimensional space before obtaining the h...
متن کاملElectrostatic analysis of the charged surface in a solution via the finite element method: The Poisson-Boltzmann theory
Electrostatic potential as well as the local volume charge density are computed for a macromolecule by solving the Poisson-Boltzmann equation (PBE) using the finite element method (FEM). As a verification, our numerical results for a one dimensional PBE, which corresponds to an infinite-length macromolecule, are compared with the existing analytical solution and good agreement is found. As a ma...

The article introduces cyclic dilation groups and finite affine groups for prime integers, and as an application of this theory it presents a unified group theoretical approach for the cyclic wavelet transform (CWT) of prime dimensional periodic signals.
متن کاملBrane World Astronomy I Unified Theory
Unified theories suggest that space is intrinsically 10 dimensional, even though everyday phenomena seem to take place in only 3 large dimensions. In “Brane World” models, matter and radiation are localized to a “brane” which has a thickness less than ≈ (TeV) in all but the usual three dimensions, while gravity propagates in additional dimensions, some of which may extend as far as submillimete...
